July 4th at Lake Lure

I know.... I know... it is almost September, BUT it is time to get caught up so get ready for a lot of pictures.

Here are some great moments from July 4th where we spent the whole weekend at Lake Lure with the Gregorie family. It was a lot of fun!

A Miriam milestone... as soon as we arrived from a grueling 4 hour trip (Miriam isn't liking long car trips these days), she got on the floor and started crawling for the first time. It was no stopping her and she is still on the move, but we will talk about other milestones in postings to come.

Craziest story ever!!! As we were pulling up to our house from the boat, we heard ambulances and police sirens and thought maybe our neighbor had an accident or something. Well, no... a this drunk driver was running from the police, he pulled into our driveway telling the policeman that this was his house and his wife was inside. He got out of the car, pulled a knife, and then got tazed and beat up. This is the scene that we walked up to.... what a day! Great shot by Emily who took the hidden picture.
