Bath Time again!

I had to post these pictures just to show how much bigger she is than her first bath at home. She now loves bath time... kicking and smiling in the water.

Her Favorite Thing to Do!

Miriam LOVES to snuggle with Daddy! I think it is her favorite thing to do... besides eat :)

Look how big she is!

I cannot believe how fast she is growing. We went to the doctor for her one month appointment and she weighed 10 lbs 13 oz. and measured 22 1/2 inches long. Everyday she is growing and learning to do new things. Right now she has really started smiling, kicking and moving her arms and legs, and discovering she has a voice... cooing and making all kinds of noises. It is so much fun to make her smile and coo. She also loves to stick her tongue out at Daddy when he does it to her! I have been trying to get a good picture of her smiling. Here is one that is ok, but I will keep trying to capture one of those sweet moments!

Visits from Friends and Family

In the past couple of weeks, Miriam has enjoyed visiting different friends and family. She met her Aunt Elizabeth and her friends Tamara, Maysen, and Mackenzi for the first time. Maysen and Mackenzi, the sweet children I nannied for, were so excited to meet her and gave her a really pretty outfit.

Also, one Sunday, Miriam was so relaxed in her Pa Pa's lap that she stayed there for her Sunday afternoon nap.

First Bottle

In preparation for our 8 hour car trip to St. Pete Beach, we introduced Miriam to the bottle. Daddy gave it to her and she did very well. Although, in the car, Miriam did not like the bottle as much as the boob so we ended up stopping to breastfeed anyway, but I can't blame her because I prefer to have that special time with her as well!

Allison Phillips graciously came over and took some beautiful pictures of Miriam. She did such an awesome job! I know I am her mom and therefore extremely biased, but she is the most beautiful little angel I have ever seen! 

Visit from the Godparents and Godsister

Otis and Julie Pickett came to visit this weekend! What an awesome couple of days we got to spend with some of our closest friends and our sweet Goddaughter Martha Jane. Is she not the cutest 8 month old you have ever seen!?  While they were here, we asked them to be Miriam's Godparents and they accepted wholeheartedly! We are so excited that Miriam will have such wonderful and faithful supporters to guide her in her faith. 

Miriam and Martha Jane will also be best buds as well as godsisters :).  

Off to Church

Two Rivers Presbyterian was finally introduced to Miriam. We headed to church this past Sunday, Jan. 4, for the first time since we had her. It was such a blessing to have her there being able to pray and worship with her at our side.  God is so good!

Aunt Kelton Visits

Aunt Kelton came for Christmas and met Miriam for the first time. Miriam was so lucky to be able to hang out with her for several days,

Let's Play and Learn!

After Miriam eats, she has her "waketime" for at least 30 minutes... that is if she isn't already asleep. During her waketimes, she plays with her toys, Shay and I read her books or sing to her, we go for walks, she has tummy time, and in the evenings we always have family couch time. Some of her favorite toys right now are the swing, her wiggle worm mat, and her boppy that her Nana made her.  She is already growing up so fast and we are so proud of everything she is learning and responding to!
